Ferrenafe

Hola from Peru! I am starting this little blog for updates and to try and share a few photos.
I am interning at the Museo Sican Nacional in Ferrenafe, in northern Peru.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.inkanatura.com/coastchiclayotrujillo_sican_national_museum.asp">Museo Nacional Sican

Parts of the north are really cool and pretty, but unfortunately there isn't much around the museum. So my internship partner Maria and I have been going to other cities on the weekends.

We are living in a house right behind the museum with the curator and his wife. They are super nice and we have someone come every day to cook. The food is AMAZING. They eat a huge lunch, usually some form of rice and chicken and potatoes. Lots of cilantro. Then a small snack or nothing for dinner. Maria and I share a room and we all four share a shower.

There are a few challenges; we can't use the water, even to brush our teeth. We only eat cooked or peeled fruits and veggies, so apples, lettuce, grapes, etc are out. And we can't flush toilet paper, which is a hard habit to break. And no tv, limited internet, and not much around us.
